Praise dancing is a form of dance that expresses outward praise to God mainly in church services. Praise dancing is also a synonym for liturgical dance which encompasses all expressions of worship and praise through dance. This type of dance has experienced a revival of sorts in churches all across the globe. All cultures and ethnic backgrounds bring their own flare to praise dancing through their cultural specific movements.
Week #4 Liturgical Dance (Praise Dance)
- Dress Code: No Jeans. Shorts must have tights under it. Shirts are requested, not spaghetti string or sports bra shirts. Rules: Students must respect the teacher, the student demonstrator and one another. No chewing gum, food or drink allowed in dance room. No cell phones allowed in the dance studio. Child’s name must be on ALL belongings. If your child is sick, please keep them home. We do not want our entire dance family sick.
